About

I am a current sufferer of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). After many years of dieting, exercising, and doing whatever I could to try to lose weight, I realized that I needed some help. I've struggled with weight all of my life and nothing ever seemed to work for me, despite hours at the gym, healthy eating, and determination. I joined Dr. Bernstein on January 5, 2010 when I finally realized that I needed help in order to feel better and manage the symptoms of PCOS.

Update - September 8th

Well it's been quite some time since I've written on my blog.  I'm happy to report that my weight has stayed exactly the same.  This is I'm sure partially due to me working out and partially due to my healthy eating habits that I've maintained.

The biggest struggle for me is to not let my old eating habits come back in to play.  I know that if I've lost the weight fast it will come back just as fast so I'm constantly worrying about that. I thought that once the weight came off that I would be happy and would no longer have to worry.  However, now I find I worry constantly about what I eat and my weight.  I am trying to remain positive and am trying to keep motivated with my workouts.  It is hard - I won't kid you.  I almost think the strict diet was the easy part.  Maintaining it will be a challenge for me for the rest of my life ---especially with my PCOS.

Here's some updated photos of me.
