I am a current sufferer of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). After many years of dieting, exercising, and doing whatever I could to try to lose weight, I realized that I needed some help. I've struggled with weight all of my life and nothing ever seemed to work for me, despite hours at the gym, healthy eating, and determination. I joined Dr. Bernstein on January 5, 2010 when I finally realized that I needed help in order to feel better and manage the symptoms of PCOS.

In the 180's!

Finally! I got into the 180's! I haven't been here since the early 2000's when I was in my early 20's! I can't believe I actually made it and its only been 8 weeks and I've lost 29.2 lbs!  I now have 60.8 lbs to go before they put me on the maintenance plan!  Awww...seems like that will take forever and the hard part of the diet will never end!  I just gotta keep picturing myself in that bikini on the beaches of Mexico!

I figured out a little trick with my water consumption that helps me lose weight better.  I can only drink a maximum of 8 glasses a day and the key for me is to drink 4 - 8 0z glasses within 1/2 hour in the morning and 4-80z glasses of water in the afternoon within a 1/2 hour. After that, no more water. I can drink anything else in the late afternoon/evening but water and I manage to lose more weight than if I pile up on water. Strange I know but my body doesn't like a tonne of water apparently!

Well, my 2-week goal for Wednesday is 184.4-187.4. Its going to be tough to meet since I never lose weight on Wednesdays so I most likely will stay the same but I'm hoping and praying lots that I will lose on Wed! WIsh me luck!
